I've been thinking about this long and hard and I've decided to try to push Megami Shiizun readership towards its homebase on Tapas starting with Chapter 3. I will still continue uploading pages on Deviantart, but I'll keep the coloured content strictly on Tapas and print. But, I'll still put the title pages in colour, here on Deviantart since it's one big illustration.
Subscribing on Tapas is free and I have to admit, I've found some really good comics to read on there as well. Also, I find that Deviantart has become more and more like Facebook with people adding to favourites and sending llamas, but not actually communicating with the artist on why they like it. I miss it. I love to get feedback on the comic and thoughts about where it might be going or which character is your favourite and why. Tapas is a little more verbal.
Its nice to get comments if someone is clicking . Good and bad feedback is always appreciated, it makes us creators reflect and sometimes approach our next piece differently. Without it, we're walking blind. Plus, if someone subscribes, I can keep a tab on who's actually reading it, which actually does make the difference on which conventions I plan to attend. A larger readership number means I'll start planning to attend a larger and further away convention. Currently, I have a small readership on Tapas, so I attend conventions in my small province of New Brunswick.
Next in line is Fundy Fan Fest in Saint John, NB. Volume 1 & 2 of Megami Shiizun will be available for purchase for those of you who didn't get a chance to get a copy yet.
