I can't believe it's been since September that I haven't posted a new journal, and I don't think I've posted a lot of new stuff either since the Festival in the Fall.
I'd love to say that I've been busy working away at the comic all this time, but the truth is, I've done NaNoWriMo in November and completed it. That's a month's worth of work right there. But after that, it got really busy at my work and with the fatigue, I've hit a rut art wise.
It's not that I didn't have any ideas or the motivation, I was just so gosh darn tired all the time, and conquering that proved to be difficult.
I finally got two days off last week, like a mini vacation and honestly that has helped me loads. I was able to catch up on sleep, whilst I cleaned my drawing desk and prepared myself to do some actual artwork for the first time in months.
Currently, I'm in the middle of working on my next comic page, I know I won't finish tonight, but hopefully I can get some hours on it during the evening this week to finish it off before the weekend. I know for certain that I will not have my 2nd issue of Megami Shiizun out in time for ECCE in May. I've lost some vacation time in 2017 and I have less time to work on everything. I don't think burning myself out is an option either. Consequences of that, usually are pretty brutal on the body.
But, I do plan on attending both ECCE and Animaritimes this year in the Artist Alley. And as much as people want me to go, I will not be attending Hal-Con this year or next. Maybe in 2019.
Other than that, I am also in the thinking process of the Megami Shiizun Art Contest Winner's prize. She recently made her decision on which character she'd like and the winner is: Sylvie. I'm still in the brainstorming stage.
